 OSTEOPATHY UPDATE: 08/08/2020

To our valued patients,
Gateway Osteopathy can still continue to provide you with Osteopathic services for patients that require URGENT CARE.
Stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne is about limiting the amount of movement in the community to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
You do not need a referral from a GP to see an Osteopath. However, our Osteopaths will screen you prior to your appointment to determine whether your condition requires urgent care, or whether it can wait until we are out of stage 4 restrictions.
For all appointments booked online you’ll receive via email or SMS a link to screening questionnaire’s you will need to fill out so that your Osteopath can asses your need for urgent care.
If you have already obtained a referral letter from your GP please bring it to your appointment for us to make a copy, this will assist in your ability to access URGENT CARE.
Please get in touch if you have any questions on 9431 5773 or contact us via email.
Stay safe, take care and please reach out if we can help in any way.
Kind regards, Stuart, Dana, and the team at Gateway Osteopathy.

PILATES UPDATE: As at 15th of June 2020

As of Monday June 22nd we re-opened the studio for a 2 period under the following plan, however we had to re close on the 9th of July, when we reopen again we will likely use a similar plan as below again, plus whatever modifications are required.

. Please read on for information about our re-opening including class times, remaining credits, hygiene protocols and some other important information.

BOOKINGS: Those of you who had regular bookings prior to our shut down, please be assured that those bookings are still current. For those of you who book online, you can log in now and check the vacancies for the coming weeks.

PASSES/CREDIT: If your pass has expired since the studio closure please email/call us and we will extend it by another 6 months. If you asked us to transfer your remaining pass credit to pay for virtual appointments/classes, your pass has now expired but you still have the credit on your account. You can use this credit to pay for your studio classes or to put towards a new pass. Please ask if you have any questions regarding credits.

SLIGHT CHANGES TO CLASSES: We have had to make a few changes to how we operate to ensure we keep a high level of hygiene and cleanliness so that you feel comfortable coming to class and our staff feel comfortable coming to work.

  • Classes will now be 50 min instruction time, in the remaining time you can still use the studio to do your cool down, bolster, stretching etc but your instructor will be using this time to clean. Please make sure you have finished your cool down before the hour is up and you have exited the studio.
  • Please do not come to class earlier than your allocated time. Please wait outside the studio if there are still clients finishing up. To limit contact between clients we only want to have 5 people in the studio at one time.
  • Please do not come to class if you are sick/unwell or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19.
  • Our cancellation window has been reduced to 4 hours so if you happen to become unwell prior to class you will not get charged a late cancellation fee.
  • Please bring a towel to class to lie on, and a good idea is to bring a towel with different sides, ie that way you remember which side you put down on the ground and which side you lie on.
  • Please sanitise your hands on entry, and during the class if you feel necessary. Please don’t touch your face, nose or mouth while in class.
  • Temperature checks will also be checked prior to the start of the class. Entry to the class will only be if you are 37.3 and under.
  • There will be 2 cleaning stations in the studio, please wipe down your surfaces after touching/lying on them if you have had contact.
  • If you prefer to wear a mask and or gloves we will provide these for you.
  • If you have had contact with items such as a dumbell please place it in the cleaning bucket near the reception desk for the instructor to clean at the end of the class.
  • We may be keeping the doors open for ventilation, please dress in layers appropriately.
  • We will have moved the room around slightly to allow for space in between clients, but please remember your social distancing rules and adhere to these during class
  • Please make sure you have downloaded the covid safe app on your phone and keep bluetooth activated while in class.
  • If entering the clinic downstairs to pay, please only enter via the front door to assist with our traffic flow.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns about returning to the studio. We want to work together to ensure we can still deliver high quality Pilates services while still keeping our clients and staff safe
