Dr Stephanie Giddings, Senior Osteopath at Gateway Osteopathy Eltham

Dr Stephanie Giddings

Senior Osteopath & Clinical Pilates Practitioner

Steph graduated from Victoria University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Osteopathy. Since then, she has continued to expand her knowledge through further professional development in Clinical Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute (APPI) and dry needling.

Steph was drawn to osteopathy because of its holistic approach to healthcare, her background in sport and her passion for helping people move and feel their best. She believes every patient is different, which is why she takes the time to understand each person’s individual circumstances before developing a treatment plan tailored to their goals.

Her approach combines hands-on osteopathic treatment with exercise prescription, lifestyle advice and rehabilitation strategies to help patients not only recover from injury, but also build confidence in the way their body moves.

Steph enjoys treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and has a particular interest in:

  • Neck pain
  • Low back pain
  • Headaches
  • Jaw pain (TMJ dysfunction)
  • Pelvic pain

Steph also has a strong interest in caring for people throughout different stages of life, including infants, children and women during pregnancy. Since graduating, she has completed additional professional development in these areas to further develop her clinical skills and knowledge.

Away from the clinic, Steph enjoys keeping active through running, swimming, Pilates and skiing. Her own involvement in sport gives her an appreciation of the physical demands these activities place on the body and the importance of effective rehabilitation following injury.

As the mother of two young children, Steph also understands the challenges of balancing family life with work, exercise and maintaining your own health and wellbeing.

Steph enjoys meeting new patients and helping people of all ages move with greater confidence so they can continue doing the things they enjoy.
