Kara Bourke
(Pilates Instructor)
Kara initially discovered Pilates to compliment her own fitness routine. She learnt many benefits from the Pilates method that have improved and continue to improve her proprioception, strength, and mobility. Her inspiration and passion for the Pilates method soon grew to the point where she felt compelled to learn the method so that she could teach it to others.
As a Personal Trainer for many years, Kara has a sound knowledge of exercise programming that she also uses to the benefit of her client’s. Kara feels she teaches with an integrated approach that centres on her client’s goals.
She is committed to professional development and regularly attends courses, workshops and can be found in the studio reading articles.
Kara is a self confessed “fitness junkie” who enjoys exercise as a daily practice, and she feels blessed to be surrounded by amazing instructors where she continues to expand her knowledge.
When asked why she loves Pilates? “I feel fortunate to have found a career that I’m incredibly passionate about. It’s rewarding to observe clients getting stronger, moving with more confidence and gaining a better understanding of their bodies”.
Kara is known by her clients as instructing “10 reps” for her exercise prescription. She is a Montmorency local and avid reader who attends her monthly book club!
